Infrastructure Development
One of the
most important factor to consider in a developing economy is the ability to
access the area in the fastest, easiest, and most affordable way.
Tuguegarao City is undertaking all efforts to provide every
settlement the essential infrastructure facilities needed to
accelerate the growth and development within the city. The
provision of basic services such as potable water, proper drainage,
uninterrupted power service, telecommunication, and transportation
facility allows every individual in the community to live and work
comfortably and expeditiously.
Consistent with the government’s objective which is to ensure a
comfortable, peaceful and safe community, every barangay is designed
in such a way that schools, hospital or health center, market,
commercial center, church, and playground or gymnasium are easily
available and accessible. Road Development
The
existence of good roads impacts on increased mobility, thus, broader choices for
economic expansion and increased productivity. Road development is a necessary
component for a continuous and fast delivery of goods and services to and from
Tuguegarao City.

infrastructure sector. Following is a summary of the Road

Drainage Construction
Rainy
season has been much of a problem for barangays in the low-lying
areas. Stagnant waters caused by flood is detrimental to the
community’s health as it becomes a breeding place for mosquitoes.
Also, flood adversely affect the movement of people and goods.
In
lieu of this, the city government religiously maintains a reliable
and functional drainage system in every barangay in order to hasten
the draining of floodwaters. It is the reason why drainage
construction and rehabilitation is still one among the priority
project areas.
For
2005, the following are the accomplishments for drainage system:
|
Drainage Construction | 7,467.40 linear meters | P
